Beyond the PNW - Places
New Mexico
Bandelier National Monument (2017)
Bandalier National Monument is one of the many archeological sites of Native American/Pueblo people civilizations. It covers 33,000 acres in the northern part of New Mexico and is protected by the National Park Service. Here at Bandalier, the Pueblo people were known as Anasazi, and lived here from 1150 AD to 1550 AD. Len Scheel, a National Park Guide, graciously takes a moment to explain a bit more of the civilization once here centuries ago.
